Brazil is planning legislation that would align its transfer pricing rules with global standards, a prerequisite to joining the OECD.
“Brazil will join the OECD standard on transfer pricing, which I think is a massive step forward,” said Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the OECD’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration. The changes will also help Brazil collect more revenue and avoid double taxation on companies, he said, speaking Tuesday at an event organized by Brazil’s Receita Federal.
