Bulgaria Assembly Considers Bill on 2025 State Budget

The Bulgarian National Assembly Feb. 24 accepted for consideration Bill No. 51-502-01-04/2025, on the 2025 state budget. The bill includes measures to: 1) reduce the VAT registration threshold to 100,000 Bulgarian leva (US$53,644) from 166,000 leva (US$89,049) from April 1; 2) increase the minimum wage to 1,077 leva (US$578.35) from 933 leva (US$501.02) from Jan. 1; 3) increase the maximum social security income to 4,130 leva (US$2,217) from 3,750 leva (US$2,013), on April 1, 2025, to 4,430 leva (US$2,376) on Jan. 1, 2026, to 4,730 leva (US$2,537) on Jan. 1, 2027, and to 5,030 leva (US$2,698) on Jan. 1, 2028; ...
