Bulgaria Assembly Considers Bill to Amend Social Security Code

The Bulgarian National Assembly Jan. 30 accepted for consideration Bill No. 51-602-01-6, to amend the Social Security Code, including tax measures. The bill includes measures to: 1) exempt pension payment funds and related services from corporate income tax and VAT; 2) update rules for heirs; and 3) recognize the creation of reserves as a deductible expense for pension insurance companies.
