The Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Jan. 4 announced an increase in the 2023 monthly minimum wage to 780 Bulgarian leva (US$423.69) from 710 leva (US$385.57), effective Jan. 1. The announcement further clarifies that the minimum wage remains unchanged at 710 leva (US$385.57) for self-employed persons and agricultural producers for 2023, effective Jan. 1.
