Current and former EY Oceania staff have suffered bullying, racism and sexual harassment, with more than 40% thinking of leaving the firm over the past five years, according to a review by Australia’s former sex discrimination commissioner.
Ernst & Young LLP commissioned the review by the former commissioner, Elizabeth Broderick, after the death of one of its staff in Australia. Some 4,500 current and former Australia and New Zealand employees contributed, with 15% of those surveyed saying they’d experienced bullying over the past five years, 10% reporting sexual harassment, and 8% racism.
