A trade association representing European businesses is asking for favorable treatment for hydrogen made from fossil fuels in a revision of an EU energy taxation bill.
In a letter addressed to the Danish finance minister, who currently presides over the council of EU finance ministers, BusinessEurope wrote that the bill should apply a temporary 0% or near 0% tax rate to blue hydrogen, the term used for hydrogen made from fossil fuels.
