Businesses Seek More Transparency in OECD Transfer Pricing Plan

Businesses and tax advisers are calling for more transparent pricing guides in the OECD’s new transfer pricing framework aimed at helping developing countries.

The framework, called Amount B, is part of the global tax deal and seeks to simplify transfer pricing methods for marketing and distribution transactions. It’s also meant to reduce resources that both countries and companies use to resolve transfer pricing disputes over routine transactions.

Several stakeholders called for the framework to be implemented as a safe harbor with greater transparency, a broader scope, and enhancements to tax certainty.
