Businesses Urge EU Toward Common E-Invoicing Systems

European tax authorities weighing their own e-invoicing systems should look to their neighbors like France or Italy, Nathalie Bidal, a France-based finance director for Procter & Gamble Co, said during a panel discussion Thursday.

“Try to not reinvent the wheel, not create your own system. Simply take inspiration from what exists already and what works,” Bidal said.

Procter & Gamble Co. operates in 70 countries globally, 20 of which have e-invoicing systems, and none of them are the same, Bidal said.
