Calls For EU to Broaden Country-by-Country Tax Reporting Forms

Two parties have called for the EU’s template for country-by-country tax reporting for multinational companies to be broadened so outfits can provide more specific details on their activities.

The European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad) called for an additional, non-mandatory section where multinationals can include information on non-EU jurisidictions they operate in.

The group said the section would allow companies to “be more transparent than the minimum requirements” imposed by the reporting currently, in its August 28 feedback.

Eurodad represents more than 60 NGOs in 28 European countries who work on tax and debt justice.
