The Cambodian General Department of Taxation Sept. 28 issued Sub-Decree No. 196, updating the thresholds for annual income tax and the monthly tax on salary. The decree sets the thresholds at: 1) up to 18 million Cambodian riels (US$4,456) for the zero percent income tax rate, and from 18 million riels to 24 million riels (US$5,808) for the 5 percent rate; and 2) up to 1.5 million riels (US$363) for the zero percent monthly income tax rate, and from 1.5 riels to 2 million riels (US$484) for the 5 percent rate.
