Canadian Court OKs Tax Information Order on Roofing Company (1)

Canada’s tax collector can require a roofing company to provide customer information as part of a broad crackdown on tax violations in the construction industry, a court has ruled.

The Federal Court of Appeal on Monday dismissed an appeal from Roofmart Ontario Inc., which was fighting an April 2019 Federal Court judgment that said it had to comply with the Canada Revenue Agency order, known as an unnamed persons requirement.
