European Union finance ministers meeting in Helskini agreed to consider adopting a carbon border tax on imports coming from countries that didn’t commit to the Paris Agreement.
EU presidency holder Finland, which is promoting climate change actions, also pushed ministers at the Sept. 13 meeting to consider adopting a carbon tax on transport and products to mitigate global warming.
