Chile Lower House Considers Bill to Increase Monthly Minimum Wage in 2025, 2026

The Chilean Chamber of Deputies May 2 accepted for consideration Bill No. 17508-05, on increasing the monthly minimum wage. The bill includes measures to: 1) set the minimum monthly wage at 529,000 Chilean pesos (US$555) from May 1, 2025, and 539,000 pesos (US$566) from Jan. 1, 2026, for workers from age 18 to 65; 2) set the minimum monthly wage at 394,622 pesos (US$414) from May 1, 2025, and 402,082 pesos (US$422) from Jan. 1, 2026, for workers under age 18 and over age 65; 3) set the minimum monthly wage for non-remuneration purposes at 340,988 pesos (US$359.97) from May ...
