Chile MOF Proposes Extension of Iquique Free Trade Zone Tax Benefits

The Chilean Ministry of Finance Oct. 9 announced a proposal to extend Iquique Free Trade Zone tax benefits by 30 years, until 2060 from 2030. The tax benefits include a first category income tax (IDPC) exemption, and a VAT exemption for the sale of goods and services. The bill will be introduced once the Senate approves the Tax Modernization project it is currently considering. [Chile, Ministry of Finance, 10/09/19]
