Chile Tax Agency Clarifies VAT Exemption for Export of Advisory Services

The Chilean Internal Revenue Service Oct. 26 issued Letter No. 2511, clarifying the VAT exemption for the export of advisory services. A Chilean company developed business administrative management advisory services for its sole client, an Irish company. It requested that the tax agency confirm the application of the VAT exemption for export services because such advisory service is within the list of exempt services.
