Chileans will have to start paying almost a fifth more for video streaming service Netflix in June, when the government’s 19% value-added tax begins to apply to such online services.
- “We have begun to notify our members that prices will be adjusted accordingly,” a Netflix spokesperson told Bloomberg Tax in an email Tuesday. Subscribers will see the tax as a separate item in their bills, the company said.
