China MOF Increases Tariffs on Imported Goods from U.S.

The Chinese Ministry of Finance April 11 announced adjustments to tariff measures on imported goods from the U.S., in response to recent U.S. tariffs. The announcement includes: 1) an increase in the tax rate to 125 percent, from 84 percent, on all imported goods from the United States; 2) the legal and regulatory basis for the adjustments; and 3) clarification on the implementation of the new tariffs.
