China Tells PwC to Learn Lessons From Penalty, Play Active Role

China Vice Finance Minister Guo Tingting met with PwC Global Chair Mohamed Kande in Beijing on Sept. 19, according to a ministry statement posted Monday.

  • Guo hopes PwC will strictly abide by China’s laws and regulations, and adopt effective measures in correcting mistakes
  • China hopes PwC will play a positive role in the nation’s reform, opening up and development
  • All accounting firms including PwC and another three major foreign ones are treated equally in China, Guo says
