China to Exempt VAT for Courier Services From May 1 to Dec. 31

China will exempt value-added tax for companies providing courier and express delivery services for essential living materials from May 1 to December 31, 2022, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.

  • The short-term tax exemption will reduce the burden on related companies by about 1 billion yuan amid the epidemic, the official Xinhua News Agency said in a separate report
