China will waive import value‑added taxes between 2026 and 2030 on selected seeds, genetic resources and police dogs to boost agricultural competitiveness and breeding capacity.
The policy covers seed and germplasm imports approved by authorities, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement Saturday. Military, police and rescue working dogs, including semen and embryos, are also included in the waiver.
The exemption applies to qualified research, breeding, conservation and cultivation institutions.
