Colgate-Palmolive’s India unit will appeal a $29.8 million tax adjustment from the Indian tax authorities—the latest in a string of tax disputes for the company in recent years.
The amount is related to the company’s transfer pricing adjustment and disallowance of certain expenses for assessment year 2022-2023, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. said in a Friday filing.
Colgate said it plans to appeal the 2.7 billion rupee adjustment, and noted that there was no impact to its operations or its financials.
