Countries More Interested in Digital Tax Talks, OECD Official Says

Countries are leaning toward further engagement in digital tax talks, a top OECD official said Friday.

Jurisdictions within the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Inclusive Framework are showing an “increased interest in continuing constructive dialogue” on addressing issues related to taxing the digital economy, said Kurt Van Dender, head of the Tax Policy and Statistics Division at the OECD Center for Tax Policy and Administration.

Van Dender was speaking at the Rome ABA/IBA Annual U.S. and Europe Tax Practice Trends Conference.
