Countries’ Tax Info Needs To Be Made More Available, Forum Says

An international agency monitoring tax transparency reported most of its member countries are complying with tax information exchange standards, but the availability of certain information can be improved.

The Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, a sister organization of the OECD, published peer review reports for Latvia, Mauritania, Pakistan, Poland, Serbia, Thailand, Botswana, and Dominica on Wednesday. The report added Mauritania is still under review until at least 2026 while it builds experience exchanging tax information.
