Croatia MOF Seeks Comments on Draft Bill to Amend VAT Act

The Croatian Ministry of Finance Sept. 18 opened a consultation on a draft bill to amend the VAT Act. The bill includes measures to: 1) extend the filing deadline to the last day of the month from the 20th day of the month following the end of the relevant tax period, for declarations of supplies of specified imports to other EU countries, VAT returns, and other specified forms; 2) waive the obligation to issue invoices for exchange transactions in Croatia; 3) not require a recipient’s consent to accept when issuing mandatory electronic invoices; 4) eliminate the obligation to submit special ...
