The Croatian Ministry of Finance Dec. 24 opened a consultation on a draft ordinance to amend the VAT ordinance. The draft ordinance includes measures to: 1) establish new reporting requirements for food donations, including mandatory disclosures in VAT returns; 2) update the vehicle registration procedures to require proof of the declared acquisition or VAT payment; 3) simplify the VAT documentation requirements for nonresidents upon request, in paper or electronic format; 4) clarify the rules for issuing invoices related to business-related supplies of goods and services and advance payments; and 5) extend various filing deadlines; and 6) amend the VAT information ...
