Curacao Announces Increase in Minimum Wage Rates for 2026

The Curacao Government Jan. 30 announced an increase in the minimum wage rates for 2026, effective Jan. 1. The announcement includes: 1) an increase in the minimum wage rates to 11.93 Caribbean guilders (US$6.63) per hour, 477.20 guilders (US$265.05) per week for 40-hour workweeks, and 2,067.87 guilders (US$1,148.57) per month for 40-hour workweeks, applicable to employees at least 21 years old; 2) that employees with longer workweeks receive higher weekly and monthly amounts, such as 572.64 guilders (US$318.07) per week for a 48-hour workweek; 3) that the minimum hourly wage rate applies to all employees, including domestic workers; and 4) ...
