The Curacao Ministry of Finance Oct. 27 announced a further extension, to Nov. 17 from Sept. 30, of the temporary voluntary disclosure regime for individuals with rental income. The announcement includes that: 1) additional assessments and fines are waived for previous years for individuals who declare 65 percent of their rental income in their 2024 income tax returns; 2) the regime only applies if individuals haven’t been contacted by the Stichting Belasting Accountants Bureau (SBAB) or the Tax and Customs Administration regarding potentially undeclared income; 3) additional assessments may apply, with fines for up to 10 years back, for individuals ...
