Cyprus Interior Ministry Clarifies New VAT Rules for Cross-Border Electronic Commerce

The Cypriot Ministry of the Interior Sept. 3 clarified the new VAT rules for cross-border electronic commerce. The clarification includes: 1) the July 1 application of the regulation on e-commerce transactions and online purchases from outside the EU; and 2) the procedures for VAT payments and refund claims under the import one-stop-shop (IOSS) VAT regime.
