Cyprus MOF Announces Extension of Deferred VAT Payment Deadlines for Specified Taxpayers Due to Coronavirus

The Cypriot Ministry of Finance July 22 announced the extension of deferred VAT payment deadlines for specified taxpayers due to the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement includes: 1) taxpayers with VAT payments due on Aug. 10 can defer their payments to Oct. 10, Sept. 10 deadlines can be deferred to Nov. 10, and Oct. 10 deadlines can be deferred to Dec. 10; 2) interest won’t be charged on the deferred payments; and 3) taxpayers must file their returns by the original due dates of Aug. 10, Sept. 10, and Oct. 10.
