Czech Republic Lower House Considers Bill to Amend Law on Social Security Insurance Premiums, Contributions

The Czech Chamber of Deputies Feb. 16 accepted for consideration Bill No. 110/0, to amend the law on social security insurance premiums and contributions. The bill includes measures to: 1) increase to 20 percent, from 5 percent, the employer insurance premium discount for employees caring for specified dependents; 2) increase to 10 percent, from 5 percent, the employer insurance premium discount for employees who belong to a vulnerable group, such as people age 55 years and older, parents with children under 10 years old, and disabled persons; 3) maintain all existing eligibility conditions, including part-time hour thresholds and assessment-base limits; ...
