The Danish Parliament (Folketinget) Dec. 17 passed Bill No. 2025/1 LSV 25, amending the Electricity Tax Act and various other laws. The bill includes measures to: 1) grant electricity tax refunds for electricity used by companies to charge registered electric vehicles, including at charging stations and battery exchange stations, from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2030; 2) exempt liquid and gaseous biofuels produced from biomass from the carbon dioxide (CO2) tax, with exceptions; and 3) temporarily abolish the volume-based packaging tax, with reporting and payment suspended from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2027, and require companies subject to ...
