The Danish government is proposing to increase total funding for tax administration to 11.6 billion Danish kroner ($1.69 billion) in 2023 to support the Ministry of Taxation’s continuing system improvements.
The ministry published an announcement on Wednesday that the draft Finance Act 2023 includes DKK 200 million more in funding for wide reforms of tax administration in Denmark. Tax control improvements include setting up a new IT system, hiring 1,000 employees by 2024, and establishing eight tax centers.
The changes target both corporate and personal tax collection activities, ministry spokespeople said.
