Denmark is collecting increasing amounts of dividend tax after fraud-triggered reforms to the tax’s reimbursement program, the Danish Tax Agency said Wednesday.
The agency raised more than 180 billion Danish krone ($28 billion) from the tax in the five years from 2020-2024, rising from 26 billion Danish krone in 2020 to a high mark of 47 billion in 2023, it said in a release. The 2024 figure was 39 million Danish krone.
