Denmark Settles With Hedge Fund Trader on Frozen Assets: Borsen

Danish tax authorities have reached a settlement with Sanjay Shah granting him limited access to assets that were frozen as part of an investigation into his role in a $2 billion Cum-Ex case, newspaper Borsen reported, citing a ruling by a London court.

Under the settlement, the assets will remain frozen but Shah will be able to use some of the money to cover his legal bills, living costs and medical expenses, the newspaper quoted Jack Irvine, Shah’s spokesman, as saying. The assets amount to as much as 3.9 billion kroner ($630 million), Borsen said.
