Denmark Tax Agency Clarifies Land Registration Tax Reductions

The Danish Customs and Tax Administration June 12 posted Tax Council Binding Answer No. SKM2026.284.SR, clarifying land registration tax reductions. The taxpayer, a property owner, sought to register an endorsement of an extension on his mortgage. The extension was related to merging two cooperative housing units and updating the address. The taxpayer inquired concerning eligibility for an exemption from the 1.45 percent variable portion of the land registration tax.
