Italian Deputy Premier Luigi Di Maio says new administration planned with Democratic Party must reduce general tax burden, and taxes on businesses, speaking to reporters after meeting premier-designate Giuseppe Conte.

  • Says Conte could succeed, cautions that “either we agree to carry out the common points of our program, or we don’t go ahead,” adds he doesn’t want a government “that just floats along.”
  • Taxes on businesses must be reduced, adds “this must be a government for business.”
