Dominican Republic Tax Agency Issues Notice Providing 2022 Tax Rates for Individuals

The Dominican General Directorate of Internal Revenue Jan. 28 issued Notice No. 05-22, explaining the progressive tax rates and thresholds for individuals under the 2022 budget. The notice explains: 1) income up to 416,220 Dominican pesos (US$7,235) is exempt; 2) the 15 percent rate for income between 416,220 pesos and 624,329 pesos (US$10,854); 3) the 20 percent rate for income between 624,329 pesos and 867,123 pesos (US$15,074); and 4) the 25 percent rate for income over 867,123 pesos.
