Ecuador Gazettes Circular Clarifying Zero-Rated VAT on Imports, Local Sales of Electric Generators

The Ecuadorian Official Gazette Oct. 9 published Circular No. NAC-DGECCGC24-00000007 on zero-rated VAT applicable to energy imports. The circular clarifies that the zero-rated VAT on importing electric energy applies, from Oct. 4, to the import and local sale of electric generators in all their forms and ranges, as well as their parts and components.
