The Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service April 24 issued Resolution No. NAC-DGERCGC24-00000016, published in the Official Gazette, amending procedures under 2018 Resolution No. NAC-DGERCGC18-00000070 for refunding tax credits generated by VAT withholding at source. The new resolution includes measures changing documentation requirements for tax credit refund requests by: 1) requiring monthly VAT declarations of taxpayers subject to the Simplified Regime for Entrepreneurs and Popular Businesses (RIMPE); 2) adding that withholding invoices must be submitted in a digital spreadsheet list; 3) requiring any revised copies of the appointment of a legal representative; and 4) requiring a ledger of the VAT withholding account ...
