Ecuador’s Lasso Says He Won’t Increase VAT if Elected President

Conservative presidential candidate Guillermo Lasso of the CREO party said in a streamed campaign event said he would rather cut than raise taxes if he wins the 2021 elections.

  • “In our government, we won’t increase any taxes; to the contrary, we’ll seek to eliminate the excess of taxes that exists in Ecuador”
