The Salvadoran Legislative Assembly May 1 approved a bill to amend the Income Tax Law to increase the individual income tax exemption threshold to US$550 per month or $6,600 annually, from US$472 per month. The announcement also includes that the measure is in line with the President’s proposal to increase the minimum wage by 12 percent. [El Salvador, Legislative Assembly, 05/01/25]
