The IRS has added promoter claims involving Employee Retention Credits to its annual Dirty Dozen list of tax scams, the agency said Monday.
Schemes from promoters have appeared in both radio and internet ads and tout refunds that involve ERCs, IRS said. These third parties target taxpayers who may not be eligible for the ERC.
