French energy provider Engie recorded a sizable impairment charge on some of its renewable projects in the US following the passage of the Republicans’ major tax law last summer.
The utilities multinational wrote down capitalized costs by around €100 million ($118 million) in 2025 after testing its US onshore renewable assets against new legislation under the tax and spending law, the company revealed Thursday in its annual report.
