Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday signed a law extending the estate tax amnesty for another two years.
The amended law, under the Estate Amnesty Act, extends the period in which taxpayers can take advantage of a one-time opportunity to settle their tax obligations, according to the state news service. The amnesty “gives reasonable tax relief to estates with outstanding estate tax liabilities,” it said.
