The Estonian Ministry of Finance Oct. 20 announced the government’s approval of a bill to require digital platform operators in Estonia to submit information to the Tax and Customs Board regarding the sellers and service providers on their platforms and the income they earn. The bill transposes reporting rules under EU Directive 2021/514 (DAC7). The agency clarifies that the reporting doesn’t concern the sale of goods or services on the platforms, and is currently voluntary.
