Estonia Parliament Considers Bill to Amend Various Tax Acts

The Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) May 13 accepted for consideration Bill No. 645 SE, to amend various tax laws. The bill includes measures to: 1) remove the temporary security tax component of the individual and corporate income tax rates; 2) increase the individual and corporate income tax rates to 24 percent from 22 percent, and increase the business income tax rate to 22 percent from 20 percent, from Jan. 1, 2026; and 3) indefinitely increase the standard VAT rate to 24 percent from 22 percent, from July 1.
