Estonia Parliament Considers Bill to Reduce VAT on Foodstuffs, Catering Services

The Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) Nov. 23 accepted for consideration Bill No. 751 OE, to reduce the VAT rate to 5 percent on: 1) food, beverages, and other such raw materials intended for human consumption, including seasonings and additives, but excluding alcohol and tobacco products; 2) compound feed and its raw materials, and industrial waste used as animal food; and 3) restaurant and catering services.
