Estonia Parliament Considers Bill to Reduce VAT Rate for Supplies of Thermal Energy

The Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) Feb. 10 accepted for consideration Bill No. 818 SE, to amend the VAT Act. The bill includes a measure to reduce to 9 percent, from 24 percent, the VAT rate for supplies of thermal energy. The law would enter into force Jan. 1, 2027. [Estonia, Parliament, 02/10/26]
