EU Aims to Finalize Tax Data-Sharing Bill by End of the Year

EU countries will try to wrap up an upcoming bill meant to simplify tax reporting and data sharing across the bloc before the end of the year, according to a new policy program.

The program, published by Ireland on Wednesday, said its intention is to “significantly progress and aim to conclude the recast of the Directive on Administrative Cooperation (DAC),” referring to the EU’s tax data sharing law.

Ireland will take over the EU’s rotating presidency for a six-month period starting in July, where it will be responsible for shepherding bills through the EU’s legislative process.
