The European Commission is planning new anti-tax evasion rules, plus a communication on updating corporate taxation, to be released in the second quarter of 2020.
The “Communication on Business Taxation for the 21st century” will focus on adapting EU tax rules for modern globalized and digital business models, the commission said in a 2020 work plan, released Wednesday. The commission will also release a plan to fight tax evasion and make taxation “simple and easy” in the second quarter, the document said.
